A honeymoon in a fare is not for everyone. Most accomodations are very basic and and are shared by other
travelers staying there. Seasoned travelers and backpackers will often find many fares quite enjoyable and affordable.
On the island of Tahiti is Fare Hape which is located on the east coast in the Papenoo Valley. The Fare has 15 shelters on site. The small rooms
start at 3.000 CFP per day and can be quite private for a honeymoon couple.
Remember, basic accomodations are only available here. You must bring your own sheets, pillows and towels. The fare contains a community kitchen with hot and cold water along with shower and bathroom facilities.
Tent camping is available at Hape also.
The Fare does not provide any form of transportation so you will have to hike from a bridge called Mamao. Located in the area around Fare Hape are many archeological sites called Marae and
also waterfalls and pools that are accessible for a quick dip.
