Tahiti Foods and Drinks

Unfortunately Tahiti has a bad reputation for expensive food and drinks, but don't allow this to ruin your honeymoon vacation. Be sure and have at least a couple of meals in a restaurant so you can experience local foods and flavors.

There are other options for travelers on a tight budget. Grocery stores are available in Tahiti with different prepared foods and are a good choice to cut down on the expensive resort meals. Les Roulottes(mobile diners) are found throughout the islands and you can usually find a cheap meal there. Sodas and beer are best bought in the local grocery store. By the way, the local beer in Tahiti is called Hinano.

In the resorts and restaurants of Tahiti you'll find a combination of European and Oriental cuisine. Fine French wines and imported beers are available in all of the luxury resorts.

Whether you go for inexpensive meals or fine dining, the cuisine is sure to delight you on your tahiti honeymoon!!
